Drainage

Cuddy is experienced in large capacity drainage works in deep excavations involving both open-cut and shored excavations, including temporary works design.

We have carried out successful contracts in varying ground conditions including peat, coastal sand and running sand, including advance dewatering of ground with high water tables.

In addition, we have also constructed large diameter pipelines in tidal conditions to depths in excess of 7 metres, including off line box culvert access chambers.

Extensive knowledge and experience has been gained in the following techniques:

• On-line Sewer Replacement work, incl. all Health & Safety requirements and over- pumping.
• Pipe jacking works to act as both carrier drains and sleeving of other services
• Box Culvert construction and associated structures
• Replacement drainage works and new drainage systems within existing services complying to New Streets Works Act 1991, where all operatives have relevant certificates of competence as recognised by the Highway Authorities and Utilities Committee (HAUC)
• Construction or corrugated Steel Pipe Drainage
• Butt Fusion Welding
• Repair to existing facilities using Confined Space Technology
